Jack has been performing and playing music since a very young age. He is best known around the Frederick, Md. area as the lead singer, guitarist and main songwriter of the hugely popular and successful 90's alternative
rock band Black Forest.
He was schooled on the violin and trumpet
while guitar became his focus as he went on to front a series of successful local bands such as Pandemonium, Supercell and cult favorite Kato and the Green Hornets. His path in song writing brought success with such songs as "Mrs. Wilson" and "Chumpsucker" which were featured on local Baltimore and Washington DC stations. The band Black Forest with Jack fronting and writing produced a self titled LP and eventually signed to the Ersatz recording label in the Spring of 1994.
After taking a break from performing to pursue career interests in the healthcare field and sound reinforcement, he was lured off semi retirement to join the legendary Baltimore favorite band, Appaloosa. This perfect fit for Jack and Appaloosa creates a feeling of "right at home"
for Jack playing and performing for Appaloosa's loyal and dedicated fan base.
